I have never been a customer at Kings or Northside, but over here by the Graham Ave. stop we are afflicted with a pharmacy that is the epitome of inefficiency. For years I listened to my girlfriend complaining about the lastest stupidity that Napolitano Pharmacy had put her through . . . e.g., making her wait for hours for a prescription for asthma medication -- and then telling her that she'd have to wait for it to be reordered (this in the asthma capital of the United States), constantly being out of stock of everyday prescription drugs, always asking for her name even though she'd been coming every other week for 13 or 14 years (personalized service? fuggedaboudit), and worse. Finally, I told her to stop being so loyal to a business that did nothing but disappoint her over and over again, and go to Walgreen's on Union Ave. Guess what -- she comes back from Walgreen's raving about how great it was. Sometimes businesses get big because they do things right, and can do so on a big scale. If Duane Reade wants to take over the corner across the street I'd be thrilled. Maybe they could move into the spot with the massage parlor, or one of the dozens of nail salons.
