Bushwick Supply, the highly anticipated sister shop to the Williamsburg music emporium Main Drag, opened its doors last week. Located just east of Bushwick Ave (Montrose station on the L) they launched with a bash.
Like Main Drag, Bushwick Supply provides musician’s supplies including guitar strings, drum heads, drumsticks, drum hardware and parts, microphones, cables, gig bags, and other staples. ”There was a lack of this kind of service around there,” said John Fell, partner in the business, “and we’ve been seeing a migration of our customers moving out that way. So, we figured we should give it a go, too. Many great venues and studios are also opening up around here daily. We thought if we should expand anywhere it would be to Bushwick. Then we were asked by the guys at Danbro Studios if we wanted a space, so we jumped. They’ve got lots of rehearsal rooms and more are being built every day. Having a store here was a no-brainer.”
