Lisa Stefanizzi, a third-grade teacher at P.S. 84 on S. 1st St, was spotted near the corner of Bedford and N. 5th as she was headed home.
Her wonderful turquoise green socks and pink pump pairing caught our attention. Both late-80s looks of excess and Marc Jacobs ads circa mid-2000s. “I’ve been seeing a lot of socks with heels recently,” says Stefanizzi.
Her taupe A-line skirt sets off just enough “teacher” to pull off the well-worn jean jacket and skull-and-bones adorned tee—lest we mention the blunt-cornered hexagonal dark specs. At the edge of it all is charcoal-blue nail polish, a seasonal touch.
Stefanizzi says, “One of my students said I looked like Lady Gaga.”
