The Margabucha (a kombucha mixed drink)

margabucha recipe from one stop beer shop

photo by Benjamin Lozovsky. “The Margabucha.”

By One Stop Beer Shop tapster Pamela Rossi: I wanted to create a drink with the pleasures of a tall, cool, fruity, salty margarita, and just the right kickstart to a 5 o’clock Friday night outsans the calories.

But why stop there? I decided to incorporate a probiotic drink to satisfy not only the “skinny girl” margarita goers, but our health conscious cravers too.  Born is Margabucha: Only 70 cals with the healthful benefits of kombucha!

Drink on!

1/2 oz. Tequila
3/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
3/4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
2 oz. Brooklyn Kombucha “Holiday Cheer”
Salted Boston Glass (standard sea salt)
1 1/2 oz. Club Soda
Ginger Syrup
Lime Wedge

Combine tequila, lime juice, lemon juice, and Kombucha.
Shake mixture over ice.
Pour into salt-rimmed Boston glass.
Top with club soda and drizzle with ginger syrup.
Garnish with a lime wedge.

A creative approach to a beer bar, One Stop Beer Shop combines a growler shop and bar with over 100 diverse beers, small bites, and cocktails, with a focus on beer mixology.

Thank you to Pamela Rossi, tapster & Ben Roscia, owner of One Stop, for permission to publish the recipe.

I’ve had this drink! “Skinny girl” margarita in incomparable to this new drink. It has Kombucha, tastes amazing and comes from a true creative genius. Ask Pamela about beer, fashion, romance… she brings passion. When this drink is served at One Stop, they want to make it specific to it’s originator and that goes for all the recipes found by these mixology x’perts. They even have another legendary b’mary that even Celebrities can’t get their hands on with money. Keep it up NYC!!! This is why we all move here!! Go Margabucha!
