MISSION STATEMENT: “The North Brooklyn Boat Club is dedicated to enabling and advocating for human-powered boating on the waterways bordering Greenpoint/Williamsburg Brooklyn.”

Paddle up the East River to the Roosevelt Island bridge, paddle Newtown Creek, paddle to the tip of Roosevelt Island, edge around the lighthouse and take the West Channel of the East River back to North Brooklyn. Paddle with the current to Bushwick Inlet, hang awhile and spot the resident birds, then return to Greenpoint with the current.

Sounds good, but I don’t know how to paddle! No problem, they’ve got you covered with lessons and guided trips. For info, paddle on over here and get the schedule.
