Second Bodega Hipster-Style, Brooklyn Standard, Opens in E. Williamsburg

photo copyThe original Brooklyn Standard, which is under new ownership as of this year, opened on Nassau Street in Greenpoint near McGolrick Park, in 2008. They used the model of the once ubiquitous bodega, but ingeniously stocked their store with healthier and more hipster-friendly choices: Stumptown coffee, organic egg sandwiches, kombucha, vegan desserts, assorted prepared healthy salads. At the front of the shop one finds a bodega-like shelf, but filled with protein bars, organic cookies, gums, etc….

IMG_8158Welcome the second Brooklyn Standard on Grand Street which is also a cafe, with indoor and outdoor seating (and wifi). Their menu is expanded, and at this location they will be serving espresso drinks, and featuring a salad bar.

Their delivery area includes Williamsburg, Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, and Long Island City.
