Along the Forge by Johnny Panessa at The Picture Farm.
Along the Forge is a two year visual catalogue that took Johnny Panessa up and down the seven tributaries from the clear trickles at the headwaters to the brackish soup at the river’s mouth. A combination of the people and the environment, this body of work identifies how the pollutants affect a large swath of residents both directly and indirectly.
In her collection of work, Beryl Fine looks to the camera to explore female sexuality, posturing, and gender predispositions.
“This is the moment when Lucky Luna, possibly the only Mexican-Taiwanese restaurant in Greenpoint, makes good on its hyphenated premise.”
