From 11-4pm at Eagle Street Rooftop Farm 44 Eagle Street, Greenpoint
Does your favorite street tree look like it could use a friend? Be that friend; enter the Pimp Your Tree Pit contest from Rose Red & Lavender to win $200 of flowers for tree pit planting. Pick a pit for adoption, stop by the shop (which is always fun because it’s gorgeous and smells like heaven) for tips and tricks on tree plant care, and enter the contest on their facebook event page. RR&L, 653 Metropolitan Avenue
Head over to McGolrick Park between 11 and 4 pm for the Down to Earth Farmer’s Market. Brooklyn Grange is offering plants and flowers along with their usual offerings of freshly picked fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Of course, you never need a reason to stop by McGolrick Park on a beautiful spring day, but bringing home some plant starters or picking out a bouquet of flowers for a friend will make you feel virtuous.
