Streaming Live from Upstate: Baby Goat Cam!

March 11, 2014 By Genia Gould

While the words home and surveillance, taken together, might bring to mind dark premonitions of a dystopian future, there’s a new pane in the window between observer and observed: Dropcam BabyGoatcam!

Dropcam is a wi-fi video monitoring camera that allows the user to remotely drop in on house, baby, pets, business, or anything else, from a smartphone, tablet or computer.

It’s equipped with a microphone and speaker, so one can listen and talk to Rover or Fluffy, should you be so inclined. One can only imagine the cacophony of clucks and coos that will emerge from cubicles everywhere there is a pet owner behind a desk. Of course it also makes a terrific baby monitor.

And here is Beekman 1802 Baby Goat Cam, streaming live from upstate in Sharon Springs, NY.
